Whyte Bikes are Designed and Developed in the UK to deal with the British Weather and Terrain
Established in 1999, Whyte is a British company who do the vast majority of product development and testing here in the UK. Famous for their test-winning mountain bike range, their unique geometry is optimised for the UK trails and conditions. The full suspension bikes come with a lifetime warranty on the pivot bearings, such is their confidence in the design and product quality. The often inclement weather we have in England has led to several design innovations to help keep water out of the bearings and frame such as their anodised bearing caps and “Getta Grip” seat post clamp. They also offer a great selection of Road Disc bikes and e-bikes.
Topmark have been on board with Whyte since the very beginning and have seen their range grow from just 1 bike, (the innovation-packed PRST-1) to the huge range of fantastic machines they produce today. They are ideally suited to British riding conditions, whether you’re exploring the fells here in the Lake District, enjoying a family ride around Grizedale, ripping up the Gisburn Forest bike trails or confidently nailing a PB on Glentress’ “Berm Baby Berm”. The superb range of e-bikes feature the Shimano Steps power system which we fully support in our workshop with our professional diagnostic equipment meaning we can test, diagnose, re-program or simply update to the latest firmware. Whyte’s excellent road disc bikes are ideal for all year round use but excel in the Winter as they accept full wrap mudguards and 28c tyres.
